What is the Worth of a Seed? Seeds are Concentrated Wealth!

What is the Worth of a Seed?

In a revered ancient text we read...

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

Later, when all of creation was finished,
it was pronounced very good!

And that included seeds and fruit.
A seed contains both the potential (and the power) to multiply, inside of itself. Alone, one seed is not very imposing, but when planted, a single seed carries power enough to send roots forcefully and tenaciously deep into the earth. As humans, we need the help of a tools to dig, but seeds don’t need anything other than that which is already inside. They also have the extraordinary power to push a tiny plant out of its shell upward toward the light, inching through the soil until it finally escapes to open into the welcoming air and sun.
Where did this remarkable power come from, power enough to cause both the roots to shoot down and the plant to push up through the soil? That power came from the seed itself.

Dr. Vandana Shiva  shared that in Hindi, seed is bija or “containment of life."Seed is created to renew, to multiply, to be shared, and to spread. Seed is life itself."

Indeed!

Every seed is a living, breathing embryo.
Seeds are part of the life force.
Seeds are miracles and magic!
Plants, as living beings desire to reproduce and fill the measure of their creation.
Here lies the wisdom of the seed.

Renew, Multiply, Share, Spread. Trust the seeds!

One single corn seed…

if planted, nourished, and watered will grow a corn stock that has at least one ear of corn, having an average of 400 seeds on its cob. All that in less than 4 months! And if we plant 3 times...
1x400=400x400=160,000x400=64,000,000
Well, I think you get the idea.

To put that in perspective, by itself $1 is not very impressive, and at current yields in a bank (2%) it will yield 2 cents in a year ( or 1/3 of a cent in 3 mo.), which is more than swallowed up by inflation. So the value of the dollar erodes more each year leaving less and less. (less impressive)
Our seed has been eaten by the cutworm and the crow.
That’s depressive!

In contrast, that single corn seed produces not only enough to multiply itself abundantly, but if planted again, again, and again, enough to feed families, villages, and even cities.

Understand this, “who controls the food supply controls his/her destiny.”

Let me repeat... “who controls the food supply controls his/her destiny.”

Seeds are real wealth.
You can pack over $20,000 worth of seeds in a small briefcase.
Now that’s concentrated wealth!

Some things are too important to allow others to do for you, or perhaps left to those who are motivated by a profit, or who might not have your best interests at heart. Do for yourself what others might not do for you. Take control.

Take control of your food supply and you help take back control of your life.

In this topsy-turvy economy and uncertain world
there are 3 seeds everyone can grow…

simplicity,
sustainability,
and self-reliance!

Grow a garden. Grow some fruit trees.

Grow you own Independence!
